Refurbishment to three blocks, 92 apartments
Kennet Construction Ltd tendered and won the contract for the replacement of the external facades and including insulated render system, rainscreen cladding and fenestration on three apartment blocks working for Zurich insurance where a warranty was called in for water penetration problems.
Upon removal of existing insulated system further problems were uncovered with external windows and doors, roofing, balustrades, balconies and rainscreen cladding. We managed a significant additional amount of work, fortunately we have experience in all aspects of construction and were able to project manage project changes as required.
All apartments were generally occupied and tenant liaison was properly coordinated to allow for window and door replacement and reinstatements and all aspects of health and safety.
