New dementia 45 bed care home and close care apartments
Kennet Construction Ltd tendered and won the contract for the design and build of a new care home and close care apartments as well as site refurbishments to existing care home and apartments.
Site works required design, installation and commissioning of all aspects of construction. Traditional construction methods were used. Site access was shared with an existing home in operation as well as residents living in a block of apartments. All aspects and liaison with the client and residents were made to ensure disruption was kept to a minimum. Works involved landscaping and repairs around the site generally including soft and hard landscaping, carpark, fencing, roof works amongst many trades involved on the site.
All tenant liaison was properly coordinated to allow works access and reinstatements and all aspects of health and safety.
